Jet Surety was stuck in between a rock and a Wordpress site. The technology was fragmeted across Themeforest themes and whatever free plugins could be found in attempt to get as much out as possible. Unfortunately, as is the case many times, this worked against them when it time to scale and have actual complex development work occur on the application.
1 week after sorting out a plethora of data issues Jet Surety was relaunched with the Frostbite custom CMS system and began integrating scraping and API endpoint strategies to create data lakes and continually grow the business.
BondExchange was in dire need of an upgrade to their technology. Through years of failing to have someone on board capable of understanding technologies and how they apply to modern web development that had ended up cornering themselves with a very antiquated architecture based upon Coldfusion.
My job wasn't just to migrate the technology, it was to service the old system and modernize its abilities where it could done with minimal investment to achieve a positive ROI.
I never thought I'd be working in ReactJS, Coldfusion, Java, jQuery, Docker, Bitbucket+Bamboo, Github+AWS, MSSQL, MySQL, Tomcat, Lucee, LESS and SASS, Bootstrap and Foundation, day to day but I did. And I did it sucessfully.
